OUPV Captain's License Course
Join Captain Greg Metcalf of Atlantic Captain's Academy online or at one of six Maine locations to earn your license for Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessel (OUPV). This license qualifies the operator to carry not more than six passengers on vessels up to 100 gross tons. Typical employment opportunities include charter boats, sailboats and excursion boats. Classes are taught by highly skilled instructors in a casual learning environment that is highly conducive to maritime education. Course is offered from September to late May online and in Bath, Belfast, South Portland, Scarborough, Kennebunk and York. Includes all materials and testing. Coast Guard exam is not required.
